Complex Programmable Logic Device
A ComplexProgrammableLogicDevice consists of one or more logic blocks connected by a programmable bus. Logic blocks typically resemble SPLDs, usually consisting of up to 16 macrocells. The programmable bus connects inputs of the device and outputs of logic blocks to the inputs of the logic blocks. Some, or all, of the outputs of each function block may be used as outputs of the device.
Often, the number of connections between the bus and the input of each function block is restricted to an arbitrary number. However, all of the outputs of a function block and all of the pin inputs to the device are generally available to the bus.
